Powering Community: Empowering people and Protecting Our climate.

Who we are

Lilbeckking Development Foundation “LIBEDEF” is a youth-led, community focused nonprofit based in Nigeria, working to advance social justice, climate resilience, and inclusive development.

Our Vision

A just, inclusive, and sustainable society where every individual can thrive with access to clean energy, education, health, a healthy environment, and a peaceful planet.

Our Mission

To empower communities through inclusive development initiatives that promote youth leadership, clean energy adaptation, gender equality, education, health equity, capacity & peace-building, sustainability, and human and environmental rights.

Over the past year, our organization has continued to advance clean energy solutions across the Niger Delta, working with communities, policymakers, healthcare providers, and young people to accelerate the transition to renewable energy. Our efforts are driven by a shared vision of a Nigeria where clean, affordable energy improves lives, strengthens communities, and safeguards the environment for future generations.

Our Impact:

5 healthcare clinics powered with solar energy systems.

15 State engagement meetings

15 young people trained in renewable energy technologies.

Clean energy solutions promoted as a pathway for sustainable agriculture and climate resilience across the Niger Delta held in Benin city.

Bringing clean energy to healthcare:

The project contributes to healthier communities, lower carbon emissions, and improved resilience for frontline healthcare facilities.

Engaging Policymakers for a Sustainable Future:

Through constructive dialogue, we continue to advocate for practical solutions that can increase access to affordable solar energy and support Nigeria’s climate and sustainable development goals.

Empowering the Next Generation:

Young people are central to Nigeria’s clean energy future.

 Solar installation

 Solar maintenance and repair

 Inverter construction and installation

 Renewable energy entrepreneurship

 Electrical safety and system troubleshooting

These skills prepare participants for employment, entrepreneurship, and leadership within the growing clean energy sector.

Clean Energy Meets Agriculture:

We also promoted clean energy as a catalyst for sustainable agriculture by demonstrating how solar-powered technologies can improve irrigation, food processing, preservation, and other agricultural activities. Integrating renewable energy into agriculture strengthens food security, supports rural livelihoods, and builds resilience to climate change.

 Looking Ahead:

As we continue our journey, our priorities include:

* Expanding solar electrification projects to more healthcare facilities and underserved communities.

* Increasing youth participation in renewable energy training and green jobs.

* Strengthening partnerships with government, civil society, and the private sector.

* Advancing policies that support wider access to affordable renewable energy.

* Scaling climate-smart solutions that improve livelihoods while protecting the environment.
