At LIBEDEF we are deeply committed to improving healthcare access for women, children, and youth. Recently, our team visited the Oghede Health Center in Ovia north east, a vital community resource facing significant challenges.
While the government had invested in a larger, modern facility, the new building remained underutilized due to non-functioning equipment and unreliable power. Troubled by this gap in service delivery, we sprang into action.
Recognizing that our previous solar installation was powering the former health center, now used as staff housing, we ensured this life saving system remained operational. This stopgap measure has been a critical support for the community.
But we didn’t stop there. We’ve also engaged the relevant authorities, calling on them to address the issues with the new Oghede Health Center and restore full functionality.
This is more than just a project for us it’s a holistic, long term investment in the wellbeing of Oghede. By tackling the root causes and advocating for sustainable solutions, we’re empowering this community and building a future where quality healthcare is accessible to all.
