Renewable Energy Awareness Program at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Edo State.

On June 1st, 2024, the Lilbeckking Development Foundation successfully conducted a Renewable Energy Awareness Program at the University of Benin (UNIBEN), Edo State. The event, held at LT1 Faculty of Agriculture, focused on educating students about the importance and benefits of renewable energy solutions such as solar and wind power.

The two-hour session, attended by over 150 students and faculty members, featured detailed presentations on the environmental and health benefits of renewable energy, including reducing greenhouse gas emissions and minimizing pollution. Our team used engaging visuals, including art and painting exhibits, to illustrate the detrimental impacts of non-renewable energy sources on our climate and health.

Participants were encouraged to consider careers in the renewable energy sector, which offers significant economic benefits and job creation opportunities. The session also emphasized the importance of transitioning to sustainable energy to achieve energy independence and drive technological innovation.

The Lilbeckking Development Foundation remains committed to advancing education and promoting sustainable energy practices within our communities. We extend our gratitude to the Nigerian Association of Agriculture Students (NAAS) at UNIBEN for their collaboration in making this event a success.
